Værk integration: data information

Operator and contact: Jonas Vindahl Bang, jonas@jonasvindahl.dk. This information describes the Værk integration service; Apple, OpenAI and Anthropic provide their own services under their own policies.

Apple sign-in: the service verifies an Apple identity token and code, stores the app-specific Apple subject and an opaque service account ID, and stores Apple refresh credentials encrypted. Apple passwords and passkeys are not collected by Værk. The service does not store the email or name supplied by Apple login.

iCloud: a separate Apple CloudKit authorization supplies an access token for your private Værk container. The service verifies the linked CloudKit identity and stores this token encrypted using a separate server key. This is container access; it is not an Apple permission limited specifically to the fields exposed by the AI tools.

Task data: the tools fetch selected task metadata, including IDs, titles, lists, planned dates, deadlines, importance, status and relevant calendar/notification settings. These tools do not fetch task notes or locations. Requested changes are sent to your private Production-iCloud database. The AI provider receives the tool results used in your conversation.

Service storage: the service also stores OAuth client/grant records, hashed browser and AI tokens, the chosen time zone and calendar-device identifier, and action payloads and receipts. Those payloads and receipts can contain task titles and other task metadata. Your canonical tasks remain in iCloud; metadata in receipts is an additional server-side copy. Only the credentials are individually encrypted by the service key; this is not end-to-end encryption against the service operator.

Purpose: authentication, account separation, authorized task actions, conflict checks, duplicate prevention, recovery of action receipts and handling support requests. The integration has no advertising, payment, sale-of-data or cross-user task-sharing feature.

Disconnection: revoking a connection stops its AI access and preserves your Værk tasks. It does not erase the account, other connections or existing action receipts. Contact support to request removal of service account data. Such a request requires verification of account ownership and must also address stored backups; it does not delete your tasks from iCloud.

Retention: account and receipt records are retained until service-account removal is requested and processed. There is currently no automatic expiration of these records or manual backups. Revoking an AI connection does not erase them. Contact jonas@jonasvindahl.dk to request access to or removal of service data; ownership must be verified before processing. Support must explicitly confirm the scope of removal, including backups. Your tasks in iCloud are not removed by this request.

Directory review demo: a separately authenticated shared workspace contains sample data stored on this service. It has no Apple or iCloud credentials and does not synchronize with Værk. Tool responses explicitly identify demo storage. Do not enter personal data into this shared review workspace.
